What: This is a campaign is to bring awareness towards the lives that were lost over bullying, ridicule, being poked at, disrespected, and injured by those who lacked respect for themselves so lashed out towards others.

Theory: When we learned to respect ourselves, we learn to respect others. With that we can
decrease- Racism and discrimination
&
… increase- Unity, self-esteem, and love.

What YOU can do: YOU make a t-shirt that in the center of the front (big letters) has ONE physical attribute that you love about yourself. On the right corner of the front (much smaller letters) you write a physical attribute that OTHERS like about you. On the back in the center you write an INTERNAL attribute that you love about yourself(big letters). and on the back left corner(in much smaller letters) you write an internal attribute that others like about you then of course put your name on one of the sleeves – THEN UPLOAD A PICTURE OF YOU IN THE SHIRT FOR OTHERS TO SEE. ( not sure where but i will update it soon)

in case you can’t upload pictures, feel free to just post it on this event. Every little support counts to bring awareness.

Why: This will show that what you think about yourself matters more than what others think about you. At the end of the day, you have to live with yourself. What others think about you will always be there but always remember that it doesn’t matter so learn to love and respect yourself.

Once we learn to respect ourselves, we learn to respect others.

BUT!!! I strongly believe that anything that requires customer services or assistance should be done only by humans. for example, You call phone services because you need hep setting something up and what not but you talk to a computer that limits your options on what to ask, “press one if you are wondering about out upgrade” and they even have the nerve to act as advertisements. It can get irritating when you need to ask a simple question but it takes you all day to finally get yo the option that allows you to talk to an actual person.

Cashiers and self check outs are kind of pushing it on my book. Sometimes you for sure go faster than the person doing the checkout line but what really sucks is when the self checkout lane requires an assistant because it felt an “unidentified object in the bagging area.” oh gosh!!

I am very appreciative of all the technology that we have been blessed with but i really think that we shouldnt disregard the ability of people and allow us to keep some of our jobs. before you know it, there might be someone who automatically starts doing you homework!!

Its difficult to be original with how easily it is to accesses the internet in our everyday lives. Originality comes form a new idea, but there is really no way to talk about something that others havent talked about when you take into consideration the amount of people that blog on a daily basis. With all the technology advancements in our generation we can see all the new ideas and new devices that in a way simplify our lives, but if you notice something about these new devices, they arent original ideas. They are just either upgrades or new forms of previous objects. I mean, its not a terrible thing, we need the upgrade to keep up the processes of evolutionizing, but by no means is the idea an original though of the creator, just a more productive form of another object.

People blog everyday all day so you are bound to find a blog about whatever topic your interested in.

basically, we cant really be original but what we can do, is write what WE are interested in and write in the format that pleases you. Because in the end of the day, you have to live with it. If we’re going to be original we might as will start with the way we are and THEN transfer that into paper.

Being original, wouldn’t that be nice.

Because of how easy it is to get internet accesses, companies are requiring that the employer be able to accesses it on a weekly basis. Applications are needed to be done, schedules are needed to be checked, and even request must be done online. Yeah, right now it might not seem like a problem but what happens to those who aren’t able to accesses the web? should they not have the same opportunity to get a job? Eventually there will be a computer in every household in order to get by easier but for now i believe that we need to allow our society to catch up with technology.

Even though there might be complaints that technology is expanding much faster than our wallets can afford, there are little things that we use in our everyday lives that are free, and help us live a smother life. The ATM, credit card swipes, and even self check out lanes at store help us whenever there isn’t people that can run the devices 24/7 hours a week, are some examples of an everyday technological advancement. It seems minor on paper but when you think about it what do you do when the bank is closed and you need cash? what do you do when you don’t carry cash but you need gas? and what do tyou do when ever your trying to buy certain objects at a store that make you feel uncomfortable? exactly!

There are two sides to this thought but either way you look at it, there really isn’t much we can do, but learn to adapt and live our lives.

Technology can only do so much, its pointless to but a tracker if you don’t know how to use it, and its pointless to use a website you know nothing about. Of course we all have the capability to learn how, but why fix something that isnt broken?

I do things my own way, and i do things faster when i already know how to do them. If i have time and the patients to learn new methods, ill do it, but for now ill stick with my Google, and my Yahoo.

Search engines are ways you can search for stuff and find your information. Do it your way.

That’s were much of the issues lie. But in stead of blaming others, there are things that we can do that will prevent others from viewing your stuff and sometimes using your information and things without your consent. You must make sure that you accept people that you want to view certain stuff and if you don’t know the person, don’t accept. Also when you first get the website, look at the privacy setting an adjust anything your not comfortable with and if you cant seem to get it the way you want, just find a different host for your page.

The most important thing is that, MONITOR your page. Check it every once in a while and make sure everything is the way you like. And no creepy people will get you information.

I never realized certain things about this website until I had to deal without it. Normal routine: take laptop out, turn on, login, check Skype, get on internet, THEN get on facebook, before I check anything else. The very first website I get on is facebook. Didn’t matter if I had a ton of homework or I need to check an important e-mail, facebook was priority.

I also saw that without getting on facebook, I didn’t communicate with half the people I usually talked to on normal bases. Facebook was also the way I saw if I need to go anywhere, meet up with anyone, or see if I had any assignments due. So to add to facebook withdraws, I also didn’t know what to do with my day.

The worse part about facebook was that I felt out of the loop. I didn’t know what everyone one was doing and also I realized how interested I was on what people were doing every day. We make fun of those that “facebook-stalk” but I never realized that I would be one myself.

Now that I am able to use it, I will limit myself from all the constant checking and I will make use that I have another source I can go to in order to have a daily agenda.

“A week without facebook”, you were my eye-opener.

How you ask? Well there are multiple ways. One) Wikipedia- its a great source to get information quick and speedy but its not always viewed as an “appropriate” website, so just in case your not allowed to use this website, be are of the sources at the bottom of the page which has many sites where you can get related information on the topic and more. Two) Life hacker- this website really has sites and things that inform the users on whatever they want to know, by bring pages on many different topic, but the greatest part is that it gives you a couple sentences on what the page is about and if you want to read, Go for it, if not, then don’t. Three) Sweet search- brings up pages and sites just like Google but it only brings up scholarly websites, basically it gets rid of the all the junk that is unnecessary for your research.

These are of the greatest things Ive found on the internet that allow me to get Productive and Lazy.
